Défi St-Laurent

Fjord Marine Shuttles is an active member of the St. Lawrence Challenge for rivers.
“The St. Lawrence Challenge is a program aimed at reducing the use of products made of plastic. Program members commit to carrying out simple awareness and mobilization activities to reduce their environmental footprint.

The St. Lawrence Challenge recognition program is intended for recreation and tourism businesses and establishments wanting to highlight their actions aimed at protecting biodiversity in the marine and fluvial zones of the St. Lawrence River, which has been impacted by the problem of microplastics.”

Here are a few examples of actions implemented to reduce the presence of microplastics in the waters of the fjord:

  • Offering an alternative to single-use water bottles.
  • Recycling plastics.
  • Mobilizing employees.
  • Proposing a plastics reduction plan.
