Another activity to put on your to-do list in July or August, even if it’s not your first time, is the colourful experience of discovering the region’s history by attending the “La Fabuleuse Histoire d’un Royaume,” a show that has been running since 1988. Featuring over 150 volunteer actors, this show delivers breathtaking performances!
In the Grande Baie district, you’ll see the Ha! Ha! Pyramid, a monument representing the history and location of the flood of 1996. Another site worth seeing is the Monument des 21, which commemorates the history of the region’s colonization.
