While waiting to board for your cruise or during your stopover, take in La Baie and its history.
Discover the Bagotville Wharf, where legendary boats such as the Queen Mary 2 dock, and stroll down the Promenade du Parc Mars alongside the fjord.
Walk through the streets of La Baie, where you’ll find craft shops and businesses offering local and gourmet products.
Explore the marina and its pleasure boats, by bike or on foot. Hiking enthusiasts can enjoy the incredible views of the Baie des Ha! Ha! and the fjord from the top of the Eucher trail.
Want to learn more about the beautiful fjord and its ecosystem? Visit the Musée du Fjord, a key attraction for young and old alike.
Another activity to put on your to-do list in July or August, even if it’s not your first time, is the colourful experience of discovering the region’s history by attending the “La Fabuleuse Histoire d’un Royaume,” a show that has been running since 1988. Featuring over 150 volunteer actors, this show delivers breathtaking performances!
In the Grande Baie district, you’ll see the Ha! Ha! Pyramid, a monument representing the history and location of the flood of 1996. Another site worth seeing is the Monument des 21, which commemorates the history of the region’s colonization.
La Baie also provides access to many outdoor activities. Choose from among the Bec-Scie Outdoor Centre, black bear watching with Okwari Le Fjord or salmon watching on Rivière-à-Mars.
